maintaining a printing quality of 200 dpi. Which resolution would the image need?

 Required resolution for A4 at 200 dpi

Step 1: Convert A4 size from mm to inches

1 inch = 25.4 mm

Width:

  210/25.4 = 8.2677 in

Height:

  297/25.4 = 11.6929 in

Step 2: Multiply each inch value by 200 dpi

Width:

  8.2677 * 200 = 1653.5

Height:

  11.6929 * 200 = 2338.6

  

Step 3: Round to whole pixels

→ Required resolution: 1654 × 2339 pixels

♣ 42.- Which resolution would the same picture need to have a 300 dpi picture

Required resolution for A4 at 300 dpi

Step 1: Convert A4 size from mm to inches

(Same as 41)

Width: 8.2677 in

Height: 11.6929 in

Step 2: Multiply each inch value by 300 dpi

 Width:

  8.2677 \times 300 = 2480.3

Height:

  11.6929 \times 300 = 3507.9

  

Step 3: Round to whole pixels
